How we use cookies
This document describes the technical and analytics cookies used on the site, the basis for using them and how to manage them. Last updated: 2026-05-29. Questions go to master@montagetallinn.ee.
The basics
Cookies are small text files that a site stores in your browser. They are used for two purposes:
- The site to function (necessary / technical cookies)
- Traffic analysis (Google Analytics 4) β only with your consent
The Montage Tallinn site does not set advertising, remarketing or tracking cookies from third-party ad networks.
Always-on cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the site to function and are set without consent under Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy directive:
- Session β for the language switcher and to retain site state.
- Cookie consent β remembers your choice on analytics cookies so the banner doesn't reappear.
Lifetime: session (until the browser is closed) or up to 12 months for the consent cookie.
Only with your consent
If you agreed to analytics, the site runs Google Analytics 4:
- Cookie names:
_ga,_ga_* - Purpose: understand which pages are popular and where users get stuck
- Lifetime: up to 24 months
- Data is anonymised (IP truncated); profiling is not used
Without consent, analytics does not run and no cookies are set.
How the banner works
On your first visit you see a cookie banner with three actions: accept, reject, open settings. Your choice is stored in a technical cookie and applied on subsequent visits.
Consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time via the "Cookies" link in the site footer or by clearing cookies in your browser. Refusing analytics cookies has no effect on the operation of the site.
How to change settings
You can change cookie settings at any time:
- Via the "Cookies" link in the site footer
- By clearing cookies in your browser
You can also block cookies entirely in your browser:
- Chrome: Settings β Privacy and security β Cookies
- Firefox: Settings β Privacy & Security β Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences β Privacy β Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings β Cookies and site permissions
With cookies fully blocked, some site features may work in a limited way.
Where the data goes
When analytics is active, data is transferred to Google LLC (USA), the Google Analytics 4 processor. The transfer is protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) under GDPR.
Beyond GA4 the site contains no embedded widgets, ad networks or social pixels that set third-party cookies.

Updates to the policy
If the cookie policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of the document and, where needed, show the banner again to ask for renewed consent.
