FAQ

Frequently asked

Why fix it to the wall? Is it required?

Per IKEA's instructions — required for PAX 201 and 236 cm. An unfixed wardrobe can fall over — a serious hazard (especially with kids around). I always fix to the wall.

What if the wall is drywall?

The fixing type is chosen on site — by wall type, wardrobe weight and configuration. If a safe fix isn't possible, I'll warn you before the work and propose an alternative.

My floor is uneven. Is that a problem?

No. PAX has adjustable feet (+€25–40). The wardrobe stands level even with 1–3 cm of drop. Mention it at the request stage.

Can I start the assembly myself and then call you in?

Better not. A PAX started wrong is harder to fix than one assembled from scratch. If you've already started — send a photo and I'll assess.

How long does a 2-section PAX take?

Without pull-outs — 3–4 hours. With pull-outs — 4–5 hours. Corner configuration — 5–6 hours.
